The City of Tallahassee is seeking a qualified contractor interested in providing Construction, Commissioning and Start-up Services for the Septage Receiving Station Improvements at the Thomas P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility, located at 4505 Springhill Rd., Tallahassee, FL, as outlined in these bidding documents. Work to be performed under the resulting contract generally includes all labor, equipment and materials required to deliver a complete, operable system. The Thomas P. Smith WRF – Septage Receiving Station Improvements consist of the construction of a new septage receiving system and modification of the current vacuum truck drying beds. The proposed septage receiving station will require the addition of sanitary gravity sewer lines to transport septage loadings to the existing FOG lift station in the facility and cleanout effluent to the current drainage system. Additional roadways and a traffic plan for the transport of the septage trucks will be designed as well as a new septage receiving island consisting of a concrete slab and cover structure where the equipment will be placed. The modification of the current vacuum truck drying beds will require the demolition of one of the three drying beds to use the space for a new dewatering system. The implementation of this new drainage system includes the construction of a ramp where the trucks would back up to discharge their loadings to the roll-off container filters located at the end of the ramp and in a supplemental dewatering location. The scope of work also includes electrical and instrumentation work, programming and integration of new equipment and SCADA, training plant personnel on operation and maintenance of equipment. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AND OPTIONAL SITE VISIT Date & Time: June 13h, 2024 at 10:00 AM (EST) Location: Thomas P Smith Water Reclamation Facility, 4505 Springhill Road
