AI Contract Overview
The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Commission School District is seeking bids for Category 1 internet access and data transmission services starting July 1, 2026. Requirements include a minimum of 1 Gbps symmetrical service for the district hub, various options for the Transportation Building including either standalone internet or a transport circuit to the hub, and minimum 100 Mbps service for the East Campus and an indoor batting facility. Bidders must provide tiered pricing for 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps to allow for future scalability without re-bidding. The district will consider contract terms ranging from month-to-month up to five years, provided they include flexibility for growth and price decreases. All communications and bid submissions must be handled exclusively via email, with quotes due by 9:00 a.m. local time on the Allowable Contract Date. Proposals must itemize E-rate eligible and ineligible costs, identify installation charges, and comply with the FCC Lowest Corresponding Price Rule and security restrictions regarding covered companies like Huawei and ZTE. While the primary evaluation factor is the price of E-rate eligible requests, the district will also consider service quality, implementation timelines, and a local presence within 150 miles. Final contracts are contingent upon E-rate funding and local board approval, and vendors must be capable of providing discounted billing.
