Service Contract on Illumina Equipment

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to negotiate with and award on a sole source basis a purchase order for Preventive Maintenance for the Illumina equipment which includes; Tecan LiHa, Autoloader2, IScan, cBot, and HiSeq2000 with Illumina, Inc. San Diego, CA. This Acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13. These instruments provide specialized epigenetic functions to analyze exome sequences and genotypes. This service contract will provide continuous service in ensure minimal down time. NIA initially purchased these instrument from Illumina Inc., therefore it is imparitive that coverage be continued to Illuminia to avoid warranty being discontinued. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, the Government will consider responses submitted on or before 1:00PM E.T., November 12, 2010 to Alberta Galek, contact@example.gov. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if it can meet the above specifications described herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responsese to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
