The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases within the National Institute of Health intends to negotiate a non-competitive service contract for the preventative maintenance of two core instruments: a Zephyr Workstation and a Sciclone NGS workstation. The scope of work includes a comprehensive repair coverage plan encompassing parts, labor, travel, and phone support to ensure proper functionality. The contract is structured for a base year followed by four one-year option periods, with the government citing that only one source is available to provide compatible replacement parts and services. While the government intends to negotiate with PerkinElmer, other responsible sources may submit responses by April 18, 2016. Interested parties must provide past performance documentation and certification from PerkinElmer proving they are authorized to obtain original equipment manufacturer parts. The final determination regarding whether to compete the requirement remains at the sole discretion of the government.
