U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan (Bldg 6000, Camp Lester, Okinawa, Japan 904-0103) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with CHIRON A NOVARTIS COMPANY for the service/preventive maintenance for CHIRON PROCLEIX TIGRIS ANALYZER SYSTEM Fiscal Year 2010 (October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010). The NAICS for this requirement is 423450 and the SIC is 7699. See attachment for descriptions of service required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the contractor's capability to provide and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be e-mailed to at contact@example.gov. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement with CHIRON A NOVARTIS COMPANY.
