Transport Canada (TC), Air Services Directorate (ASD) has a requirement for maintenance services (repair and/or overhaul and/or modifications) of one weather radar indicator by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM-Honeywell) or an Original Equipment Manufacturer authorized repair facility:
Part Description: Weather Radar Indicator P/N: MI-585351-2 S/N: 1399
Failure description*: Screen does not display. Still controls. Overheating electrical smell.
*A complete and comprehensive teardown report is required and must be provided to the technical authority as this unit is the subject of an investigation by the airframe manufacturer.
