Services in Support of the C-5 Dewar System

This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract, with a nine (9) month period of performance, for services to support the maintenance and overhaul of the C-5 Dewar system. The C-5 Dewar system is part of the C-5 Fire Suppression System (FSS), which is a safety system designed to prevent fires on board the C-5 aircraft. No Government furnished drawings, specifications, and special tooling are available. The rights to the C-5 Dewar data is owned solely by Parker Hannifin Corporation (Cage Code: 59211). This company maintains the in-house expertise, tooling, and capability to perform this service. Therefore, this acquisition is Sole Source to Parker Hannifin Corporation, 14300 Alton Parkway, Irvine, CA 92618, under the Statutory Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements. The approximate Request for Proposal (RFP) date is 23 July 2009, with a response date of 24 August 2009. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered. Only written, faxed, or electronic responses received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Telephone requests are not permitted. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO, identified within this notice, for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, regarding this acquisition. See Notes 22 and 26.
