Full Description

This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for service or supplies. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted under the same reference number as stated above. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 20-Sep-2011 with a closing response date of on or about 20-Oct-2011. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments. It is the Government's intent to solicit as a 100% small business set-aside. Hill AFB, UT anticipates one (1) Firm Fixed Price contract award for procurement and FOB destination delivery of four (4) servicing stand trainer assemblies. The servicing stands will be partially built with some government supplied parts. The list of government supplied parts will be provided once the solicitation is posted. The stands will be used for training purposes for individuals who need to service the hydrazine tanks that power the F-16 Emergency Power Units (EPU). The actual servicing stands used in the field contain hydrazine; however, since these are training stands the trainers will only be using water. The government will provide a final purchase specification once the solicitation is posted. Questions concerning this requirement will be accepted. Drawings and a picture of an existing unit are available. To obtain the drawings and the picture your company must submit a current, signed, and stamped DD2345 form.
