All proposals for this project will be submitted through Aquarion Water Authority’s(AWA) E-Bid system and will remained sealed until 2:00 PM, current local time, on Friday, Nov 6th, at which time and place submitted bids will reviewed by AWA. Bids may be submitted anytime before this deadline.
Aquarion Water Authority is seeking bids for the transportation and disposal of sewage grit and rags generated by its Water Pollution Control Facility at 3 North Division Street, Ansonia, CT. Aquarion intends to award the successful bidder a three (3) year contract with two additional one (1) year renewal options with the contract beginning Jan 1, 2027.
The WPCF current flow is approx. 1.9 MGD with grit & rag generation of approx. 60 - 75 tons per year. Grit & rags are primarily generated from residential sources with light commercial waste.
Work performed shall include transportation, processing and disposal of sewage grit and rags in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The successful bidder shall provide a 20yd dumpster, a poly liner and a removeable cover. The successful bidder will drop off a new container at the time it picks up a full container for processing.

Aquarion Water Authority reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Note: Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds will not be required for this project. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time of this bid.
