NSN(s) 3040-01-294-4869 Estimated Annual Demand Quantity 359 (1795) for base and 4 option year periods) Unit of Issue: EA Item and Part Number: Shaft, Shouldered 08844 (Marathonnorco Aerospace) AM2791-10-17 All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be acceptable. The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 1 NSN. The proposed procurement includes items within the Federal Supply Class 3040. See Note(s): 12 and 26. 12: One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreement Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. 26: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for one (1) year. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about April 15, 2009, at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning of one 3D code and part numbered item. This AMSC code implies that the data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it can not be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Current approved manufacturer is Marathonnorco Aerospace (08844), P/N: AM2791-10-17. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis with other than full and open competition.
