AI Contract Overview
This contract concerns the procurement of disposable, individually wrapped cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) shields designed to protect both the rescuer and the patient from direct mouth and hand contact during resuscitation efforts. These shields can be used on adults, children, and infants and are packaged in units of 50 per package. The contract requires the items to be properly sealed in containers that protect against damage, with commercial exterior shipping packaging suitable for safe delivery at the lowest transportation rate to the specified delivery point. The product must be marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes previous military marking standards, and adhere to a specified shelf life of 60 months without extension. Technical and quality requirements are governed by applicable DLA master lists, and potential handling of covered defense information is noted. Bidders must specify their source and part number for the items supplied. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Defense through the Defense Logistics Agency, with a deadline for responses in early June 2026, and delivery expected within 20 days after award. The contract’s procurement is governed by specific packaging and handling standards to ensure medical-grade quality and secure shipment.
