Shinobi VSOP, LLC

The Department of Cannabis Control has approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license for Shinobi VSOP, LLC, located in Hayfork, Trinity County, on Assessor's Parcel Number 019-390-008-000. The project involves the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet of mature canopy, specifically utilizing approximately 9,996 square feet distributed across 204 individual 5'x5' boxes. To support these operations, the site utilizes existing infrastructure including a permitted onsite groundwater well, two 550-gallon nutrient mixing tanks, two 2,500-gallon water storage tanks, a 6'x50' hoop house for immature canopy, a 10'x12' petroleum storage shed, and a 10'x10' cannabis waste and composting area. Proposed enhancements to the site include the installation of three additional 10'x12' sheds dedicated to agricultural chemical storage, harvest storage, and processing on previously disturbed land. The project's utility requirements are met through the use of generators rated at less than 50hp for power and a permitted onsite septic system for wastewater management. An environmental evaluation conducted by the Department of Cannabis Control Environmental Evaluation Office has certified the project, noting that it is exempt from further CEQA analysis under specified statutory and categorical exemptions, including CEQA Guidelines Section 15183. This exemption is consistent with local zoning, community plans, and Trinity County ordinances.
