To provide training and certification with hand on skills related to the CSC’s NCP in keeping with provincial laws, regulations and professional practice standards for nurses. Medical Simulations allow the nurses to acquire the skills for early identification of patient deterioration and intervention to prevent emergency situations from occurring.
Deliverables:
The Contractor must:
a) Meet with CSC to discuss proposed case scenarios to ensure applicability related to the NCP;
b) Provide one-day intensive course for nurses working in Corrections Canada that focuses on updated nursing protocols and the technical skill required to enact the protocols;
c) Include up to sixteen (16) clinical simulations in each session;
d) Provide training materials, supplies and medical equipment for each training session; see Attachment 1 of Statement of Work;
e) Provide support during all clinical simulation sessions;
f) Provide instructors for clinical simulations according to the number of participants in the session;
g) Provide preparation, simulation and debrief to nurses for each session;
h) Provide a certificate or completion checklist to each successful participant.
