Simultaneous interpretation services

Amendment 001 is raised to answer question 1. ************************************************ The Human Resources Services Branch (HRSB), at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), is seeking simultaneous interpretation services for virtual and/or hybrid events on an as needed basis, for meetings and events held in the National Capital Region (NCR) and/or virtually within Canada. The services will be in English and/ or in French and must meet the requirements of the Official Languages Act. The Human Resources Services Branch requires a Contractor to provide simultaneous interpretation services approximately 220 hours per year, however, some additional hours may be added or removed. The meetings or events should have a duration between one (1) to three (3) hours. There are security requirements associated with this requirement. For additional information, consult the bid solicitation document. This procurement is set aside under the federal government’s Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business. This procurement is set aside from the international trade agreements under the provision each has for set-asides for small and minority businesses. Further to Article 800 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), CFTA does not apply to this procurement. The contract period is estimated to be for one year, plus four additional one year option period.
