Six Acres Water Company Water System Annexation Project

The State Water Board is funding the Six Acres Water Company Water System Annexation Project to integrate the existing Six Acres Water Company system into the City of Cloverdale’s municipal water infrastructure. The project involves the installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of eight-inch polyvinyl chloride water main, 600 linear feet of 12-inch polyvinyl chloride water main, and 60 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main using trenching methods. Conflicting sections of existing three- and four-inch asbestos cement pipes will be abandoned and removed. New service meter boxes and meters will be installed, and existing customer connections will be reconnected using copper service piping. The new mains will be connected to the City’s existing eight-inch water lines, along with the installation of new gate valves, hydrants, and associated appurtenances. The existing Six Acres Water Company system will be fully disconnected and isolated from service. The project is identified by number 4900608-001C and is forecasted to be posted on June 22, 2026, with performance occurring in Cloverdale, California. All work will be conducted to ensure seamless integration of water services, enhance system reliability and compliance with public health standards, and transition customers from the private Six Acres system to the City-operated water network.
