The Seattle District Corps of Engineers (Corps) has a requirement to purchase 0.46 credits of universal habitat credits to offset wetland impacts resultant of the levee repair effort to the Skagit Diking District 22 Levee. The repair will consist of an expansion of the levee footprint resulting in permanent fill of a 15-foot width of Category III wetlands, which are waters of the U.S. The mitigation credits are being purchased to offset the fill in compliance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
