Arnold Air Force Base has a requirement to provide all plant, labor, material, equipment, and field verification required to furnish and install one (1) 20 ton (40,000 lb.) rated capacity indoor overhead traveling bridge crane with a top running trolley (Class C (moderate service or better), in the SL2 high bay, Facility 541. The work includes the installation of the runway rails, runway electrification, bridge, trolley, and hoist, and the associated motors, controls, and brakes at Arnold Air Force Base TN. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend a formal site visit prior to submitting a bid. This site visit is scheduled for 11 July 2012, at 9:00 a.m. local time. Participants will meet at the Visitor Center. Participants are required to bring their own steel toe boots, protective eye wear, and protective hearing wear. No climbing will be involved since this is a new installation. The dimensions will come from facility drawings.
