West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah Owner: Salt Lake County CM/GC: Hunt Jacobsen Joint Venture (“HJJV”) Trade Package: Bid Package 01 - Demolition & Enabling Works Phase 1 - Demolition - Earthwork for Make Ready - Cut & Cap Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Low Voltage, and Fire Alarm (Make Safe + Enabling) - Temporary Framing Salt Palace Convention Center, Abravanel Hall & UMOCA Renovation Project. The project includes partial remodel and rebuild of the Salt Palace Convention Center (SPCC), coordination with Smith Entertainment Group’s contractor for any work that impacts the remodel of the SPCC, Abravanel Hall back of house remodel and rebuild and/or other areas impacted by the SPCC, and the Visual Art Building/Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) re-build, and all associated demolition, all located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the first physical work package on the Salt Palace redevelopment and clears and prepares the site for future construction. MEPF and Telecom enabling work and temporary framing extents are as shown in the documents to allow demolition to continue while allowing the remaining portion of the Convention Center to remain operational. Abravanel Hall will also maintain operations continuously as a separate venue, and egress, fire protection, fire alarm, and MEP serving occupied areas in the Convention Center and Abravanel Hall must stay in service.
