AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of one Sleeve, Plain with NSN 3120-01-110-1512, under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-35B4, requiring delivery within 20 days FOB destination with no variance in quantity. All supplies must comply with DLA packaging requirements per MIL-STD-2073-1E and marking standards per MIL-STD-129, using preservation method 33, wrapping material GB, and unit container E5, with no special marking required. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited in the product, preservation, packaging, and marking, except for specific functional uses such as batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, or instruments as defined by NAVSEA, with portable devices requiring shock-proof construction and a secondary containment boundary. Sampling and inspection follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise stated, and unspecified attributes are treated as major. The item may require casting or forging, warranting a Casting and Forging Assistance Request if specialized tooling is needed. Delivery is to USS RHODE ISLAND SSBN 740 at FPO AE 09592, with shipment mandated to use the fastest traceable means, explicitly excluding parcel post. The contract references overarching DLA technical and quality requirements accessed via the DLA Master List, and the unit of issue is established according to ANSI X12 standards. Vendor compliance with all DLA procedural notes, including transportation and shipment directives, is mandatory, and the point of contact for inquiries is Marion Williams of the ASC Commodities Division.
