The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducts quarterly informational meetings through its Superfund Remedial program for firms holding contracts or interested in Superfund work. These Superfund Remedial Action Contractors (SRAC) meetings cover important topics such as new contracting requirements like background clearances, lessons learned from project sites, green remediation strategies, and challenges encountered during contract performance. The meetings are purely informational and do not address procurement-sensitive or specific contract actions. The upcoming SRAC meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2012, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the EPA’s Arlington, VA facility, with remote participation available via webcast and conference call. While no registration is required to attend in person, attendance is capped at 100 participants. Superfund Remedial Action Contracts (RACs) provide a range of professional architect/engineering services to support EPA’s response planning and oversight under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). Services under these contracts include program management, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, remedial design engineering, cost analysis for removal actions, enforcement support, community relations, sampling and analytical support, and oversight of remedial activities. RACs may also support coordination with state agencies, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or responsible parties in enforcement cases. The point of contact for the meeting is Tiffany Moreland, Program Analyst, who can be reached via email or phone.
