Full Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Synopsis/Solicitation N0017818Q201 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation. This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis to Newport Optical for the following items: Description Part Number Quantity SmartTable Hybrid Damped Optical Table and associated accessories Newport Opticalis the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and has proprietary rights for the SmartTable Hybrid Damped Optical Table. Currently, Newport Optical is the only manufactuurer of optical tables with hybrid damping technology capable of both active and passive damping in a table of this size. The hybrid damping simultaneously eliminates both horizontal and vertical vibrations with the settling times necessary to accurately observe and measure quantum effects that are naturally very sensitive. The requested products manufactured by Newport Optical represents the minimum requirements of the Government. Please include shipping/freight cost for FOB destination DAHLGREN VA 22448-5114 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
