Snow Plowing - Almonte Regional Group

The Upper Canada District School Board is soliciting quotations for snow plowing and salt/sanding services for the 2026-2027 winter season within the Almonte Regional Group. The contract covers four specific locations: Almonte & District High School, Naismith Memorial Public School, Pakenham Public School, and R. Tait McKenzie Public School. Bidders are required to service all sites within the regional group. The initial contract term is for one year, with the Board reserving the right to extend the agreement for up to four additional one-year periods at negotiated rates, which should align with the Consumer Price Index. Services will be billed on a per-event basis, categorized into combined snow and ice events, full snow-only events, partial snow events, and ice control-only events. To be eligible, bidders must own and operate commercial-grade equipment that complies with Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Ministry of Transportation requirements. Submissions must include three professional references for comparable commercial work performed within the last three years, a detailed equipment list, and a valid WSIB Certificate of Clearance and liability insurance. The evaluation process involves a mandatory compliance review followed by a rated criteria assessment, with pricing evaluated last. The Board prefers to award the entire regional grouping but reserves the right to award individual schools or reject any bid that does not serve the Board's best interest.
