This contract involves the exclusive award of software integration services to Braxton Technologies Corporation to support the modernization of the Launch and Early-Orbit Anomaly-Resolution and Disposal Operations (LADO) Program software, which is critical for pre-launch checkouts, early orbit support, anomaly resolution, and disposal of GPS space vehicles. The work involves transitioning the current LADO software from the Windows XP operating system, which is reaching its end of life, to Windows 7 in compliance with Air Force policy. Approximately 6,971 labor hours and ten travel trips are planned to carry out these integration services at a government facility in Springfield, Colorado. This contract is anticipated to be awarded by December 20, 2014, and includes options for extension and travel, reflecting a streamlined process where the government intends to negotiate exclusively with Braxton Technologies under FAR guidelines for single-source procurement. The solicitation invites other interested parties to submit capability statements or proposals for consideration; however, the government retains full discretion to proceed without competition based on the responses received. The contract covers two main line items: software integration services and associated travel, emphasizing the technical and logistical scope necessary to update and maintain the LADO software system supporting the GPS mission. Braxton Technologies, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the incumbent contractor responsible for this ongoing modernization effort, which directly supports critical space vehicle operations within the Air Force’s GPS infrastructure.
