The procurement is being conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), following guidelines for commercial items and simplified acquisition procedures under NAICS code 443120. The anticipated period of performance consists of an initial twelve month term from the date of award, with four additional option years. While this is a notice of intent for a sole source award, the government allows other vendors to submit written interest or proposals for consideration before a final determination is made. Prospective awardees must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and certify that they are not suspended or debarred from receiving federal contracts.
