SOLE SOURCE - AVID ANNUAL ASSURANCE RENEWAL

This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to Avid Technology, Inc., 1101 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC 20004, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for renewal of the annual Avid Assurance support for all Avid editing systems utilized by DMA stations and affiliate stations located in CONUS and OCONUS. DMA uses Avid editing and automation equipment for the production of command information, news, and on-air delivery. Because of this the maintenance of the systems requires specific Avid service. Avid Assurance has three levels of service. They are Expert, Expert Plus and Elite. They are tailored for different levels of user requirements. See attached Limited Sources Justification and Approvals. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to perform by responding to this notice by the specified closing date. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
