The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 (2) (C) (ii) (A) only one responsible source to GENESEEK, INC., 4665 Innovation Drive, Suite 120, Lincoln, NE 68521 U.S.A. Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to evaluate genetic control of swine responses to viral infections 450 pigs have to be genetyped for 70,000 genetic variants using the GGP-HD Chip. The acquisition is being conducted on the basis of other than full and open competitions as the need of the requisitioner can only be met through one source and under the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541711 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; all information received by 8 May 2014 will be considered by the Government. All interested vendors must respond by 9 May 2014, 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Responses shall be submitted to the point of contact Patricia Jones at contact@example.gov.
