Full Description

The National Nuclear Security Administration?s Service Center intends to award a fixed price contract to Canberra Industries, Inc. for SNM Pedestrian Portal Gamma-Monitors by means other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1; which allows a sole source award when there is only one responsible source and no other supply or service will satisfy the agency?s requirement. The basis for this determination is that (1) Only Canberra RAD Portals will seamlessly integrate into the Gemini interface system and the existing Canberra RAD Portals; (2) Canberra RAD Portals are available within the required time frame and (3) Only Canberra RAD Portals will ensure avoidance of system operability and maintenance problems due to compatibility issues. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, however, interest parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting documentation to Michelle Spilker via email at: contact@example.gov or by facsimile +1 (555) 000-0000 by 4PM PST on 2/18/03.
