N00164-16-T-GM49 - SOLE SOURCE - MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR SCANNING OPTICAL MICROSCOPE - PSC J066 - NAICS 334516 - SYNOPSIS RESPONSE DATE 23 AUG 2016 Issue Date: 08 Aug 2016 - Closing Date: 23 Aug 2016 - 2:00 EST (EDT) ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for maintenance of the FEI Systems Scanning Optical Microscope SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, FEI Systems, 5350 Dawson Creek Drive, Hillsboro, OR, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced because FEI possesses all the data rights, patents and proprietary information required to perform the required maintenance. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
