Full Description

The U.S. Army TACOM-LCMC intends to solicit and negotiate solely with BAE Systems, Electronics, Intelligence & Support (BAE), 6500 Tracor Lane, Austin, TX 78725 for the purchase of 30 Rear Viewing Sensor Systems (RVSS). Each RVSS system consists of 1 each Check 6 Taillight Assembly (w/debris shield) and 1 each Check 6 Control Box. The NSNs for the above components are NSN 6720-015545366 and NSN 6720-015545362, respectively. Color is U.S. Army Desert Tan. Award will be made on a sole source basis to BAE. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any proposal received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All inquiries shall be submitted electronically to Pam Taiariol at contact@example.gov. Response date is 3:00 p.m. EST 17 February 2009.
