SOLE SOURCE NOTICE

The U.S. Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Puget Sound Inc. for the procurement of one Puget Workstation Threadripper PRO WRX90 T142-XL, a high-powered standalone workstation intended for AI model training and development at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory in Groton, Connecticut. This procurement is issued under FAR 6.302-1 as a sole source justification due to the unique technical specifications of the workstation, which include an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX processor with 96 cores, an ASUS Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE Rev2 motherboard, and a Fractal Design Define 7 XL chassis, all configured to meet specific performance benchmarks including NBody CUDA and CrystalDiskMark tests, along with full CPU, GPU, and RAM stability validations under maximum load.
