Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana 47522 has a requirement for the production of solid state grid driver(s) and grid driver components. This requirement is planned as a non-commercial Firm-Fixed price (FFP) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of five (5) years. This solicitation will be issued utilizing other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Offers will be solicited from Polarity Incorporated (Polarity), 11294 Sunrise Park Drive, Rancho Cordova, California 95742-6542 (CAGE 1KQE1). The basis for restricting competition is the anticipated substantial duplicative costs to the Government to qualify another manufacturer's product form, fit and function, which are not anticipated to be recouped through competition, and the anticipated unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirements through any other source.
