Solicitation SP0600-09-R-0517 is for the meter calibration, repair, and general cleaning services for petroleum products in the country of Afghanistan for the period of one (1) year after contract award with four (4) one (1) year options. MOGAS, Diesel Fuel, JP8 and TS-1 are the products requiring metering. Meters are installed at each location for the different products. A contractor that is a subject matter expert is required to help keep this piece of equipment in optimum operating condition. The contractor is required to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials and supervision required to perform calibration of meters. The calibration, repair, and general cleaning will take place at the contractor's facility in Afghanistan. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 2009 and the Request for Proposal (RFP) closing date will be on or about June 2009. This procurement will be a full and open competition. The solicitation will be published electronically on both the Fed Biz Opps website and the DESC-BY solicitation download website http://www.desc.dla.mil. This is not an RFP, a promise to issue an RFP, or a promise by the Government to pay for information received in response to this synopsis or any subsequent announcment.
