NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 168th Contracting Office, Eielson AFB, Alaska intends to procure a Data Security, INC brand Solid State Media Disintegrator and to be awarded as sole source acquisition to Data Security, INC. Data Security, INC is believed to be the only provider for the below salient characteristics. Simple, automatic push-button operation, 200-240V, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz, Passing evaluation by the National Security Agency (NSA) for the physical destruction of solid state media, such as memory cards, thumb drives, solid state drives, cell phones and tablets, as well as optical media such as CDs and DVDs to 2mm particle size. Self-contained, 3-phase air filtration system consisting of pre, carbon and HEPA filters. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(ii). The anticipated award date is on or after 18 June 2020. Please note that this is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement, are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide these services listed above. Deadline date for submittals is 18 June 2020 by 10:00 a.m. AKST. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered and determination whether to conduct a competitive procurement will be made if necessary.
