THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT issued for informational and planning purposes only by the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to the Sources Sought are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government is not at this time seeking proposals. Respondents are advised the Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this Sources Sought. All costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future RFP. The information provided in this Sources Sought is subject to change and is considered non-binding. All submissions become the property of the Government and will not be returned. The NETL is conducting market research to determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified businesses that can provide a Low Vacuum Scanning Electron Microscope and X-ray Microanalysis System as identified in the attached specifications.
