Full Description

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) awarded a sole source contract for a quantity of 20 Dell Latitude laptops installed with QPC XScan software from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the software, Image Capture Review Company (iCRco), Inc. These laptops will be utilized as part of the Computed Radiography (CR) readers manufactured by iCRco, Inc. by Army triage medical units as portable standalone medical equipment in the field. These computers, cannot operate off of the Windows 7 OS image commonly found on Dell E7414 Latitude laptops. Rather, to integrate with existing medical operating systems, the laptops need to be loaded with proprietary QPC XScan software only available from iCRco, Inc. Based on the information reviewed from iCRco, Inc's website as well as direct communication with the Global Sale Manager, this software is specific to the military and is therefore determined to be a non-commercial purchase. Note that in addition to these laptops, pre-loaded with the proprietary software, additional repair parts are included in this purchase that are also related to the CR readers manufactured by iCRco, Inc.
