The 149th Fighter Wing at JBSA Lackland in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking qualified vendors capable of designing and installing custom side covers for an existing outdoor BeaverFit functional fitness facility. The covers must extend down the sides to align with two 20-foot-long by 8-foot-4-inch-high conex boxes positioned on either side of the 36-foot-wide rig, and must be engineered to endure the region’s harsh environmental conditions including high winds, heavy rain, and intense UV exposure without compromising the structural integrity of the original equipment. Respondents are expected to demonstrate their ability to provide both materials and installation services, with particular attention to durability, attachment methods, and compatibility with the existing structure’s anti-corrosion coatings. Vendors must provide their firm’s full contact details including UEI number, confirm whether they can handle both fabrication and on-site installation, and disclose any GSA contracting status. Technical responses must include prior experience with similar tactical fitness installations, specific material recommendations suited for South Texas weather, a detailed description of how the covers will securely interface with the rig and conex boxes without requiring intrusive modifications like drilling or welding, and estimated lead times for completion. Vendors must also indicate whether a physical site visit is necessary for accurate measurement or if the provided photos and standard dimensions suffice. This notice is a sources sought announcement, not a formal solicitation, and responses are due by July 7, 2026, to the designated point of contact at the Department of Defense.
