AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, is seeking information from qualified sources for the repair of SPS-67 magnetrons under a follow-on effort to N0010423CSA10, with the intent to award a sole-source, five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to CPI Beverly Microwave Division of Beverly, Massachusetts. This action is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as the government has determined that only this vendor possesses the unique capabilities, proprietary knowledge, and existing certification to meet the technical and operational requirements without causing unacceptable duplication of cost or schedule delays. All respondents must demonstrate why an alternative source would be unsuitable, providing technical documentation such as white papers, test reports, performance parameters, and evidence of current availability. The contract will require compliance with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1, and contractors must be registered in SAM and the Joint Certification Program to access controlled materials. Although the award is expected to be a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 811210, no funding is currently available, and this solicitation is strictly a market survey with no obligation or reimbursement for submission costs. Responses must be submitted by August 20, 2026, to David Stuffle, the primary point of contact, with all proprietary data protected under government safeguards. Secondary contact is available through Casey Bault for additional inquiries.
