The project will perform geotechnical investigations to aid in the design of a new accessible restroom facility within the park unit’s parking lot. The investigation will include two (2) borings by a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with hollow-stem augers to depths of approximately 15-feet in the area of the new restroom and up to four (4) hand augered borings to approximately 2 feet within proposed path-of-travel/concrete flatwork areas to acquire soil samples for testing. All borings shall be backfilled with neat cement grout per SDCEHD permit requirements and the sites shall be left in as close to their original conditions as possible. Excess soil may be dispersed in adjacent landscape under the supervision of State Parks monitoring. Measures to avoid impact and further project details may be obtained by submitting a request to the Environmental Coordinator listed below.

Albert A. Webb Associates is seeking qualified small and disadvantaged business firms to serve as subconsultants for the Oakland and Santa Fe Waterline Replacement project (CIP 5661) in Hemet, California. The scope of work involves providing geotechnical and materials inspection and testing services, including compaction testing for roadway subgrade, aggregate base, trench backfill, pipe bedding, and trench bottoms. The selected firm will be responsible for initial sampling, continued testing throughout the construction period, and the preparation of a certification memorandum signed by a professional engineer to identify any non-complying materials. The project is anticipated to span approximately 210 construction working days, and the subcontract award is contingent upon the City of Hemet selecting Albert A. These include EPA Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements under 40 CFR Part 33, procurement standards under 2 CFR 200.321, and the Build America, Buy America Act. Additionally, the firm must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations per Labor Code section 1725.5 and adhere to California prevailing wage laws. Insurance requirements include a minimum of 2,000,000 dollars per occurrence for general liability.
