Full Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, intends to issue Solicitation No.15B50026Q00000002 for the supply of Scott Safety SCBA Cylinders. The resulting award will be a single firm-fixed price contract.
The government intends to procure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders manufactured by 3M Scott Fire and Safety.
This requirement is based on the need to maintain full system compatibility, certification integrity, and operational readiness of existing SCBA respiratory protection systems currently in use. The cylinders must be fully intererchangeable with existiing equipment without modification, requalification, or compromise of NFPA/NIOSH certfication standards.
Only 3M Scott Fire & Safey clyinders meet the technbical and safety requirememnts necessary to ensure continuity of operations and personnel safety.
No substituions will be accepted unlesss explicitly determined to be technically acceptable by the Government.
