South Delta Data Collection Project

Project consists of land, boat, and drone surveys at various locations, collecting detailed data to support the South Delta Gates Project. Activities will include bathymetric surveying on canal waterways using ADCP RC boat, spot surveys using total stations or RTK base stations and rovers, and drone data collection. These activities are expected to have minimal impact though there may be some vegetation removal using hand tools/handheld trimmers to allow survey data collection. There will be cross sections surveyed every 50’ along centerline of the waterways in the project area, any vegetation along these cross sections may be trimmed back to allow for data collection. There will also be utilities location activities that may require digging to daylight utilities. A drone will be flown within the footprint of the survey area, ~250' above ground surface, to collect aerial imagery.
