The recently released HQ Air Force Space Command Space Enterprise Vision (SEV) drove a significant change in the SBSS FO program acquisition strategy. To satisfy the SEV's Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Architecture needs, the SBSS FO program requirements have changed to become more focused and operationally challenging. The previously published "Sensorsat" Government Reference Architecture (GRA) no longer meets the new threshold requirements. SBSS FO remains an Air Force program and the Air Force has decided to leverage another acquisition organization to fulfill SBSS FO space segment and telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C) portions of the program in order to further National Security Space objectives. The SBSS FO program is determining the best acquisition approach for the mission processing requirements. At this time, the intent is not to further pursue the SBSS FO program as previously defined.
