The Space Test and Engineering Contract (STEC) Bridge is a sole source, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract awarded by the Space and Missile Systems Center Advanced Systems and Development Directorate to the incumbent contractor, LinQuest Corporation. The primary purpose of this agreement is to provide essential satellite operations support and ensure uninterrupted services at the Research Development Test and Evaluation Support Complex due to delays in the follow-on STEC14 contract award. The work is performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, and is based on the STEC09 Performance Work Statement. The contract has a total value of 7,884,935 dollars and covers a period of performance of 8.5 months, spanning from May 14, 2015, to January 31, 2016. Because this was a non-competitive action, a Justification and Approval document was utilized to authorize the sole source approach. Administrative oversight is provided by the Department of Defense, with an appointed SMC Ombudsman available to facilitate the resolution of concerns from interested parties.
