Modular Space-Saving Storage System (SpaceSaver)


1.0 INTRODUCTION


This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This SSS is issued solely for information and planning purposes to conduct market research. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future.


The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents to this SSS. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the interested party's expense.


2.0 BACKGROUND & SCOPE


The Government requires a modular, space-saving, high-density storage system capable of safely storing small boats, U-TC dive equipment, and auxiliary equipment. The system must provide vertical storage capabilities and include ventilated lockers to ensure proper equipment maintenance and lifespan.


3.0 MINIMUM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS


The Government is seeking contractors capable of providing a storage system that meets or exceeds the following minimum salient characteristics:


3.1 Team Gear Cabinets (Quantity: 5)


  • Dimensions: Minimum 32” L x 50” W x 96” H
  • Shelf Configuration: 5 shelves total (Bottom three: 32” L x 50” W x 25” H; Top two: 32” L x 50” W x 10” H)
  • Weight Capacity: Must support up to 1,000 lbs distributed weight
  • Ventilation: Must be ventilated to prevent moisture buildup

3.2 Auxiliary Equipment Cabinets (Quantity: 6)


  • Dimensions: Minimum 32” L x 50” W x 96” H
  • Shelf Configuration: 4 equally spaced shelves (32” L x 50” W x 24” H)
  • Weight Capacity: Must support up to 1,000 lbs distributed weight
  • Ventilation: Must be ventilated to prevent moisture buildup

3.3 Boat Storage


  • Capacity: Must safely accommodate vertical/high-density storage of up to 15 small boats (Rolled Wing Boats: L8’ / W4’ / H4’, approx. dry weight 200 lbs).
  • Requested Footprint: L25’ / D8’ / H12’
  • Shelf Configuration: Three shelves, 25’ in length (1st shelf at base, 2nd shelf at 4’, 3rd shelf at 8’).

3.4 Delivery and Installation


  • Delivery: Delivery of all materials to Moody AFB.
  • Installation: Full on-site installation and assembly services, resulting in a fully operational system.
  • Waste Removal: Removal and disposal of all packaging and trash related to the installation.

4.0 SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS


Interested parties that possess the capabilities to meet this requirement are requested to submit a Capabilities Statement. The statement should be no longer than 3 pages and must include the following:


  1. Company Profile: Company Name, Point of Contact, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, CAGE Code, and Unique Entity ID (UEI).
  2. Socio-Economic Status: Business size standard and any socio-economic categories (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB) under the applicable NAICS code.
  3. Technical Capability: A brief description of your company's ability to provide the requested storage systems, including product literature, brochures, or past performance examples of similar systems.
