58--COMMUNICATIONS BAR, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OFThe Government intends to award a sole-source contract for two units of NSN 7H-5895-017200407, a communications bar requiring repair or modification, under FAR 6.302-1 due to the unavailability of competitive sourcing options. The Government does not own the data or intellectual property rights necessary to procure repairs or replacements from other sources, and acquiring those rights or reverse engineering the part has been deemed uneconomical. While the solicitation is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals within 45 days of the notice publication, or 30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, to inform the Government’s decision on whether to proceed without competition. All submissions will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining if a competitive procurement is warranted, and the Government retains full discretion in deciding not to open the procurement to competition. The contract is associated with title 58—COMMUNICATIONS BAR, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF, solicitation number N0010426QYABF, and is administered by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech office located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The point of contact for inquiries is Amelia E. Harper, reachable via email at AMELIA.E.HARPER.CIV@US.NAVY.MIL or phone at (771)229-4504. The notice was posted on July 18, 2026, with a response deadline of August 3, 2026. Supplies will be delivered FOB origin, meaning the vendor is responsible for preparing the items for shipment but not for transportation costs or risks beyond the point of origin. No set-aside status is designated, and the contract is issued under a presolicitation notice that does not obligate the Government to award a contract unless a decision is made to proceed with sole-source procurement based on the received responses.

Pressure Gauge Supply for Defense Telecommunications EquipmentThe contract pertains to the supply of eight defense-related pressure gauges identified by NSN 6685016288412, intended for integration into telecommunications equipment used by the Department of Defense. The solicitation, issued under NAICS code 334290 and managed by the ASC SUPPLIER OPER OEM DIVISION, requires strict adherence to federal supply chain security and cybersecurity regulations, ensuring the components meet defense-grade standards for integrity and protection against tampering or compromise. The delivery location is specified as New Cumberland, PA, with a zip code of 17070-5002, indicating the operational context and logistics requirements tied to the U.S. military infrastructure in that region. The bid response deadline is set for July 28, 2026, with the solicitation posted on July 20, 2026, providing a narrow eight-day window for qualified subcontractors to submit proposals. This is a subcontract opportunity, meaning it is part of a larger acquisition chain, and bidders must demonstrate capability to satisfy not only technical specifications but also compliance obligations around classified data handling, supply chain provenance, and cybersecurity protections mandated for defense contractors. The absence of a set-aside designation suggests the contract is open to all eligible entities, but success will depend on proven experience with defense-grade instrumentation and full alignment with DoD procurement and security protocols. All submissions must be made through the official DIBBS portal linked in the documentation.
