The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price service contract to the American Journal of Public Health for a period of 12 months. The primary objective is the publication of a special issue by Spring 2018 featuring five articles focused on the intergenerational continuity of child maltreatment and the importance of safe, stable, nurturing relationships in breaking the cycle of violence. This publication will include a free open access option for the general public. The American Journal of Public Health was selected as the only responsible source due to its multidisciplinary readership and specific expertise in public health, behavioral science, and policy.
