The Contractor, as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), shall assist ECBC in the expansion of testing and evaluation of different robotic components and integrated systems in various laboratory environments. The previous effort identified different types of commercial robotic systems that could be deployed to navigate to potential Sensitive Site Exploitation Weapons of Mass Destruction (SSE WMD) sites. This work will support component testing of the robotic units once inside the WMD site. Using modular clean laboratories as test chambers, the Contractor will configure different laboratory environments to mimic real world environments. Modular clean laboratory equipment is similar to a large erector set, with reconfigurable stainless steel frames and chemically inert walls. These structures will be used to determine where chemical, biological and radiological signatures such as residues and particulates deposit during different WMD production processes as a function of room layout and geometry. See PWS for more information.
