Spring Creek Restoration Project

The Spring Creek Meadow Restoration Project aims to restore the hydrologic function of approximately 202 acres of conserved meadow land near Frenchman Lake in California, which has been degraded by historical grazing practices, road construction, and the impacts of the 2021 Beckwourth Complex fire. Significant erosion and incision in the meadow have disrupted natural floodplain connectivity, necessitating comprehensive interventions to stabilize the landscape and reestablish natural water flow patterns.
