SPRING, HELICAL, COMP

This contract specifies the procurement of three helical compression springs made from ASTM 5673, Condition C, Type 17-7 PH stainless steel, with an inside diameter of 0.523 inches, a free length of 2.094 inches, and a deflection rate of 625 pounds per inch. The springs are rated for a load of 275 pounds and will measure 1.650 inches in length under full load, with squared and ground ends on both sides. They are designated as a critical application item, manufactured by Eaton Aerospace LLC under part number 29351, and identified by NSN 5360-01-034-8433. All items must be marked per MIL-STD-129, including the contract number, lot and serial numbers, contractor’s CAGE code, manufacturer’s code, and part number, and must comply with DLA packaging requirements RP001 and ASTM D3951, with packaging labeled according to the specified Unit of Issue and Quantity per Unit Pack. Ozone-depleting chemicals are strictly prohibited, and any substitute materials require prior approval. The springs must be delivered FOB origin within 168 days, with no quantity variance allowed, inspected and accepted at the destination, and shipped to Arizona Industries for the Blind in Phoenix, Arizona. The contract was issued under solicitation SPE7M4-26-T-243S with a response deadline of July 23, 2026, and the original delivery date set for April 5, 2027, with a required ship date of January 5, 2027. All technical and quality requirements referenced via R or I numbers take precedence and are governed by the DLA Master List as of the solicitation issue date.
