AI Contract Overview
The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify qualified manufacturers and suppliers for a centrifugal fan impeller, part number 40928-1, used in the CHINOOK weapon system. This effort falls under NAICS code 333413 and is currently managed under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) due to limited available sources and the fact that the government does not own the necessary technical data. Prospective contractors must be able to handle all aspects of the production process, including supply chain management, logistics, and material forecasting. They will also be responsible for any recurring or nonrecurring engineering services required to become a qualified source. This announcement is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a commitment by the government to award a contract. Interested firms are encouraged to identify their capabilities and seek source approval through the AvMC public website.
