AI Contract Overview
The contract SPRRA1-26-R-0063 is a solicitation issued by the Department of Defense under the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Huntsville, with a submission deadline of June 10, 2026. It pertains to the acquisition of a specific power distribution panel, part number 7-611B11100-001, applicable to the AH-64 Apache weapon system. This item will be added to an existing long-term firm fixed-price contract with price redetermination and indefinite quantity provisions, previously awarded to The Boeing Company. The panels have a production lead time of 360 days after contract award, with nine ordering periods anticipated, and are to be delivered to Tracy, California. This procurement is restricted to Boeing, identified by CAGE code 8V613, since the government does not have the rights to the technical data required to source this part elsewhere, and reverse engineering is deemed uneconomical. While other firms may express interest and seek source approval for future opportunities, only qualified sources meeting all requirements will be considered. All communication and solicitation requests must be directed via email to the designated contract specialist, Jay Hobbs, with no telephone inquiries accepted. Foreign firms must route their solicitation requests through their embassies. The solicitation aims to maintain availability of this critical component for the Apache system through a controlled and compliant acquisition process.
